Want another reason to start watching UFC
events (as if you needed one)? Meet Las Vegas native—and Octagon Girl—Arianny
Celeste. From hiking to horror movies, this UFC beauty reveals what gets her
blood racing.
First off, how do you stay in such great shape?
I work out four to five times per week. When I train by
myself it usually involves cardio and circuit training. Other times I will box
at the UFC gym with their trainers. I like to switch it up because I get bored!
Do you have any sports you like to play when you're not
working out?
I don't play any sports, but I do like to do outdoor things,
like hiking at Red Rock [Nevada] and swimming. I was a gymnast and cheerleader
for about eight years. I've had an athletic body ever since I was younger.
How do you motivate yourself to go to the gym?
I know that my body is my job, so that is my motivation. No
one else is going to take care of it but me. But I've always liked working out,
so it's not that hard for me to get motivated.
What's your guiltiest pleasure when it comes to food?
I love pizza and I usually crave it once a month. I usually
have it right after a fight. I also have a sweet tooth. I don't believe in
dieting, so I eat whatever I want in moderation. My favorite healthy food is
sushi.
You've traveled to some interesting places with the UFC.
Do you have a favorite location?
There are many great places I've seen with the UFC but my
favorites have been London and Florida. The sights were amazing in London. The
coolest part was seeing Buckingham Palace. I love Florida as well — Ft.
Lauderdale, Miami, South Beach — I fit right in!
Have you met a lot of celebrities since becoming an
Octagon girl?
I've met Adam Sandler, which was great because I'm such a
fan of his. Someone I found interesting was Rob Dyrdek from the Rob and Big
show on MTV. He is a businessman and so very smart — he gives great advice. I
like to surround myself with people with the same type of goals as me. He has
built a brand/empire and I admire him for that.
Who's the most entertaining UFC fighter to be around?
>Rampage Jackson is a character in and out of the Octagon. No
matter what, he always makes me laugh.
What type of music are you into?
I like singing rock/pop/R&B type stuff. But I listen to
all types of music, even country. My favorite bands are Bon Jovi, Guns N'
Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Eminem, and Christina Aguilera. Weird combo, huh?
I guess it depends on what mood I'm in.
We've heard that you love horror movies. What's the
greatest scare flick of all time?
I like The Shining by Stephen King — that was a great
movie and book. The most recent scariest movie I saw is called The Orphanage.
I was on edge the whole time in the theater. It has Spanish subtitles, but
lucky for me I speak Spanish. I hate reading subtitles.
Tell us something that most people don't know about you.
I'm a down-to-earth girl, but I'm still a little timid at
times. So if you see me at an event, make sure to say hello!
