More than one and a half million people say their work hours are excessive because of globalization, and 80 percent of individuals around the world say their jobs are affecting their health. While there is no formula to balance work and a personal life, different regions try to tackle this task in different ways.
In collaboration with our friends from the Here is a look at how many average hours were worked in 2008-09 by individuals in 30 countries — all part of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) — and the average minimum number of paid vacation days and holidays governments require their employers to provide employees.
