Taking it off the road and into deep sand was surprisingly easy thanks to the Limited Slip Differential technology, which helps to provide better acceleration in deep sand or mud. The wheels fishtailed a bit, and it wasn’t as tight as driving on pavement (obviously), but there was never any concern that we’d get stuck in the the deserts of Nevada. The Tundra also has integrated traction control, which assists the driver when you’re going up a steep incline and again as you’re headed back down—a fantastic feature when you’re trying spot the best ATV trails from the top of a dirt road.
