The Most Focused Athletes of All Time
MARIUSZ PUDZIANOWSKI

Pudzianowski won the World’s Strongest Man contest five times, more than anyone else in the competition, between 2002 and 2008, also turning in second place finishes in ’06 and ’09. The Polish strongman is a freak of nature, and during his career in WSM events (he is currently an MMA fighter), he had an utterly insane workout regimen that included 300-kilogram deadlifts (about 660 pounds) and flipping massive tires (3 sets of 10 reps, if you were wondering). His diet was equally insane—he once told Muscle and Fitness that he would eat 10 eggs and two to three pounds of bacon for breakfast each day along with a lot of candy between meals. He claimed he needed all those calories to get through his days, and we’re not going to argue him on that.

In a sport where focusing on working out is absolutely everything, this guy was able to be the most persistent with his training, reach the top spot, and maintain it for several years.
