They love their bodies and wanted to share that with the world.

We’ve all done it, or at least know a bunch of people who have. We're talking about snapping the narcissistic selfie, taken in a mirror or with the camera flipped, then uploaded onto our social media sites in hopes of a few “likes.” Whether you’re guilty or not, it's all #instagood—celebrities do it too. In fact, within the past few months, a whole slew of actors, musicians, and athletes have taken to Instagram and Twitter, uploading pictures of their ridiculously fit bodies. Here are nine of the best, starting with Miles Teller.
The Whiplash actor whipped himself into fighting shape for an upcoming film, Bleed for This, a biopic about World Championship Boxer Vinny Pazienza. Teller— who's currently starring in Divergent—fessed up to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show that he didn't think he was in good enough shape (at the time) when offered the role. He also mentioned that Pazienza's story was very intimidating, but clearly that motivated him to mold his body.
July/August 2014 Men's Fitness cover subject Chris Pratt shed some 60 pounds for his role in Guardians of the Galaxy, which hit theaters on August 1 and also starred Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel. While he admitted his friends made fun of him after posting this photo, most of the publicity and responses he got were pretty positive. On top of hitting the gym, Pratt also gave up beer for six months in order to lose the weight.
Hold up: When did Justin Bieber get jacked? The once scrawny preteen is now a man—a man who likes to upload shirtless photos of himself at least once a week. While this isn’t technically a “selfie,” it’s still a cry for attention, and maybe a way to show Selena Gomez what she’s missing. We do have to admit, though, that we’d like to know what his workout plan is. Hey, Bieber’s trainer, contact us.
If we told you this body belonged to a 40 year old, would you believe us? Yes, this is the torso of the always-sexy Heidi Klum, who actually has four kids, including three with ex-husband Seal. But if you think that means she’s back on the market, guess again. She’s currently dating her bodyguard, Martin Kristen, and we’re willing to bet he’s more protective now than ever before.
Even though Nick Jonas has diabetes, that doesn’t stop him from hitting the gym and building muscle. He worked with a doctor to tone up, making sure to eat a lot more lean protein and monitor his blood sugar levels, which can be hard to sustain post-workout.
He couldn’t let his little brother hog the spotlight. While Joe Jonas has been all over the tabloids lately, with rumors that the Jonas Brothers canceled their tour due to his “secret drug problem,” we think he looked pretty healthy when he posted this photo to Instagram. The dog and the guy creeping in the background are a little weird though.
Did he have to be wearing spandex? King James posted this selfie last year during an off-day, telling his followers to “Call 911. The weight room just got murdered.” We have no doubt about that, but next time, we hope he discovers the cropping tool.
We all know by now that Hannah Montana is dead—and what Miley Cyrus looks like naked, from pretty much every angle. We believe she probably refers to this bra as a shirt, but we thought we’d include it anyway. Heads up about her next music video: She’s naked—again—but this time, she’s a naked alien.
The Giants may not have done so great last season, but that probably won’t stop Steve Weatherford from taking numerous shirtless selfies and uploading them to Instagram. We can’t say we blame him though—the guy just wants to show off his eight-pack. He’s definitely worked hard for it, saying that he doesn’t take a day off even if he’s sore.
We’ve saved the best—and most NSFW—for last. Rihanna actually went out in public wearing this. And if your boss happens to stop by your desk while you’re reading this slide, that’s what you’re going to tell them—this is a shirt.
