Check Out the New Trailer for "Spectre"

James Bond is back on November 6—and man, does he have a sweet ride.

Bond. James Bo—yeah, that guy. He’s at it again.

The people at MI6 unveiled the latest trailer for the new 007 movie, Spectre, on Monday. And while director Sam Mendez has giant shoes to fill after scoring a massive hit with Skyfall, the trailer suggests he's on the right track.

The two-and-a-half-minute trailer, which features new faces and old, showcases just enough action and mystery to leave viewers counting down the days to its November 6 premier date. Daniel Craig, of course, headlines the cast in his fourth appearance as Ian Fleming's spectacular spy. Naomie Harris returns for her second portrayal as the lovely Moneypenny, and Ralph Fiennes is back, only this time—spoiler alert!—he's heading MI6 as M.

And while the plot seems to stick to the perennial spy-thriller motifs—explosions, aerial stunts, Craig's scowl—Spectre also boasts some exciting new characters. The trailer showcases two beautiful, mysterious ladies, Lucia Sciarra (Monica Bellucci) and Madeline Swann (Léa Seydoux), who will likely wind up playing major roles. Bond comes across Sciarra in a trip to Rome, whereas he seeks out Swann on the hunch that she'd know more about the secret terrorist organization SPECTRE.

That brings us to perhaps the biggest, most intriguing unknown: Bond’s enemy Franz Oberhauser (Christoph Waltz). Not much is known about Oberhauser. But, if the trailer's any indication, he's likely a high official in the shadowy SPECTRE hierarchy—and he might be in charge of the whole organization. Oberhauser hasn't been featured in any other Bond movies, but some sharp-eyed observers have spied some clues that Waltz's sinister villain might have played a role in Bond's past—just as Oberhauser insinuates at the end of the trailer.

“You came across me so many times,” he tells Bond. “But you never saw me. What took you so long?”

With a proven villain, beautiful women and, of course, the specially made Aston Martin D10, it looks as if Spectre will have all the criteria Bond fans have come to love.
