Halloween is just around the corner—here’s your incentive to bulk up for your bad side. These bad guys aren’t just impressive, though. Their physiques add to their roles—whether they are imposing or lithe. Anyone can work out to get big or fast, but very few of them are as iconic as these. Tons of good guys and bad guys are in shape, but few are remembered for it, and even fewer have bodies that are inseparable from their roles like these guys.
Bane is the sum of all Batman's fears: He's strong, fast and smart as hell. Tom Hardy bulked up heavily to play the masked terrorist who would bring Gotham to its knees, and despite the rather odd voice, Bane's imposing presence on the screen is unforgettable in "The Dark Knight Rises."
Ricardo Montalban was stone-cold perfect as the sneaky, villainous Khan in "Star Trek 2: Wrath of Khan." Talk about a powerful chest. Besides how committed Montalban was to the role (and you can see it in his performance), this happened.
Punch for punch, no one matched the power of Dolph Lundgren's Ivan Drago in "Rocky IV." His physique towered over previous "Rocky" villains: He represented the powerful, all-encompassing reach and science of the Soviet Union. Makes it all the more sweet when Rocky knocks him out. In his own words, "I must break you."

I'm sure you'll all whine about it. After all, you can't see his body under the uniform. But Darth Vader is the master of the movie villain physique. Played by bodybuilder David Prouse and voiced by a commanding James Earl Jones, Darth Vader is the physical manifestation of a powerful, evil empire—much like Ivan Drago was in "Rocky IV." So despite the fact that you never see any muscles (other than outlined), skin, or face, Darth Vader has the ultimate movie villain physique. Iconic and unforgettable, the 10-year-olds in all of us still tremble in fear.
