The Fast & Furious series is back—and it’s bigger, crazier, and more badass than ever.

Vin Diesel, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and the rest of the cast lobbed a grenade to start the week with the trailer for The Fate of the Furious, and it’s everything you’d want from the movie: Huge explosions, fast cars, beautiful women, jacked dudes, and impossible-looking stunts. (The movie was known until recently as Fast 8, or F8. Thankfully, Universal spared us all and didn’t make it F8 of the Furious. Apparently even this franchise has self-control.)

The story picks up with Dom Toretto (Diesel) leading his crew of Letty (Michelle Rodriguez), Lucas Hobbs (Johnson), and Roman (Tyrese Gibson) through a successful heist before the unthinkable happens: Toretto rams Hobbs off the road, betrays his "family"—this is a movie that leans heavily on the whole family thing—and joins up with a new villain (Charlize Theron). The surprise heel turn leaves the crew stunned and they’re forced to go up against their former leader via a government ops team led by Mr. Nobody (Kurt Russell) and his right-hand man (Scott Eastwood).

Making things even crazier? They’ll have to team up with Furious 7 bad guy Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham), who breaks out of prison with Hobbs in one of the best sequences of the trailer:

The action jumps from various locales, including New York City, Cuba, and the icy terrain of the Barents Sea for what could be the craziest (most furious?) chase ever—the crew going up against a giant submarine.

With the possibility of a battle between The Rock and Diesel coming in this film—and the real-life, on-set feud between the actors only adding to the drama—this could be the best and wildest Furious film yet.

Make sure you wear your seatbelt.

The Fate of the Furious, directed by F. Gary Gray and starring Johnson, Diesel, Rodriguez, Gibson, Eastwood, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Jason Statham, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Elsa Pataky, will be released on April 14.
