The Predicted Percentage of Obese Americans in 2025 Is Alarming

A new study shows what the world—and America—will look like in the next decade if trends continue.

Scary news: According to a new study in The Lancet, 18% of men and 20% of women in the world will be obese by 2025 if current consumption trends continue.

The study also found that global obesity has more than tripled among men and doubled among women in the past 40 years.

Perhaps the most alarming statistic was that by 2025, 43% percent of women and 45% of men in the United States will be obese.
