We had already heard about the failed drug tests and the ever-mounting evidence against the man who was once lauded as one of America's greatest role models in the sporting world. All of Lance Armstrong's stubborn, fraudulent denials finally came to an end in January, when he confessed to Oprah Winfrey about doping throughout his cycling career. It was just the final piece of Lance's fall from grace, which had already been happening for years and included his being stripped of his seven Tour de France wins in 2012. But with all the money he's raised for cancer research over the years, we were all left thinking, "Does the end justify the means?" Hard to say, but Lance is an inspiration to cancer patients around the world no more.
