Do you like the Fast and the Furious movies? Nevermind that: Obviously a lot of people like The Fast and the Furious movies, because  Universal Studios is making three more installments in the explosive Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson-helmed film franchise over next six years, according to a post on Vin Diesel's Instagram account.

It will be 2021 by the time we've seen each movie in the new trilogy—if we're calling it that, even though they'll be the eighth, ninth, and tenth films in what will ultimately become a 10-film set. Fast 8 is set for release on April 14, 2017, while the yet-unnamed ninth and tenth movies will premiere on April 19, 2019, and April 2, 2021, respectively. By then, at least two generations of people (okay, dudes) worldwide will have literally grown up with The Fast and the Furious franchise.

"We need a good reason to move on after [the death of] Paul [Walker]," co-star Michelle Rodriguez told E! News in September. "And being that this is a global franchise now, it's not just the American baby, it's important that we consider moving on and take it seriously."
