Watch Chris Hemsworth Summon Thor’s Hammer During a Pullup Workout

This Avenger reveals his real thoughts about 'Captain America: Civil War'—all while getting in a workout.

Thor doesn’t go anywhere without his hammer—especially not the gym.

In a video posted to the Facebook page of Captain America: Civil War directors Joe and Anthony Russo, Chris Hemsworth throws down his opinion (and some ring pullups) about the upcoming showdown between Captain America and Iron Man—all while getting a great upper-body workout.

Hemsworth, apparently, is a bit miffed, musing between pullups that the two biggest Avengers—Thor and the Hulk—have been left out of the action.

“People have been asking me whether I'm Team Cap or Team Iron Man. Who cares? Where was the invite for me and Hulk? Just leave the two strongest, biggest Avengers out of this one, did you? Which is fine. Just one for the kids…to have a scrap. The kids just have a scrap and we just sit on the sidelines. When you’re done messing around, then the big boys will just step in.”

Hemsworth deadpans that “maybe he is not worthy” enough to join the battle and wonders if he can even still pick up Thor’s hammer—aka Mjölnir—anymore. He summons the hammer (with a little help from a friend), and Hemsworth pulls himself up a few times with just one hand, showing off how jacked he has gotten while preparing for his next slate of films.

But Hemsworth has been plenty busy, even with the god of thunder sitting on the sidelines for the next Marvel flick.

The 32-year-old Australian stars in The Huntsman: Winter’s War, which premiered Apri 22; soon enough, he'll start filming his next Marvel movie, Thor: Ragnarok.

And while Hemsworth has mostly distinguished himself in serious roles, he'll be bringing out his comedic chops for Ghostbusters, as he is set to play the assistant for the team of paranormal detectives in the new reboot.

Captain America: Civil War, directed by the Russo brothers, is set for release on May 6, 2016. Ghostbusters, directed by Paul Feig, is set for a July 15, 2016 release.
