Dolph Lundgren and Jean-Claude Van Damme are back, and it’s like they never left.

The action superstars are teamed up for the military action-thriller Black Water, the directorial debut of prolific action film cinematographer Pasha Patriki.

The premise is about as “action-y” as it gets: When CIA Operative Wheeler (Van Damme) is framed for a major crime and imprisoned onboard a nuclear submarine, he must team up with mysterious ally Marco (Lundgren) to find a way to escape and clear his name.

Van Damme is still in great shape—see his 15 most kickass workout posts on Instagram—while Lundgren looks like he still could step in the ring to try and "break" Rocky Balboa based on his 11 most badass workout posts. Lundgren has been staying in great shape anyway to play one of the villains in Jason Momoa's Aquaman, and if Black Water is any proof, Momoa's hero will have his hands full.

The trailer for Black Water has plenty of guns, hardcore fistfights, and, of course, some badass roundhouse kicks from Van Damme:

This is the fifth time the two actors have worked together—the others being Universal Soldier (1992) and two of its sequels, Universal Soldier: Regeneration (2009) and Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning (2012), and The Expendables 2 (2012)—but it’s the first that features the duo as allies and not enemies trying to kill each other.

Van Damme and Lundgren aren’t the only two action superstars of yesteryear getting back into the game.

Sylvester Stallone is set to star in and direct the military drama Tough as They Come, which tells the true story of United States Army Staff Sergeant Travis Mills, whose book of the same name details how he survived a quadruple amputation after serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Fellow Expendables pal Arnold Schwarzenegger is keeping himself busy, too. The Governator has completed filming on the comedy Why We're Killing Gunther and has Journey to China: The Mystery of Iron Mask with Jackie Chan coming, as well as the potential Twins sequel Triplets and possible The Legend of Conan reboot/sequel also on the horizon.

The ‘80s action stars are here to stay.

Black Water doesn't yet have an official release date, but is expected to come out in 2018.
