In a recent IMBD poll asking who would make the best female James Bond, 34-year-old Australian actress Yvonne Strahovski came in seventh—which is pretty good when you consider some of the talent who finished above her, like Scarlett Johansson and Angelina Jolie.

Obviously, Strahovski has the looks for the role, but she’s got some sexy-spy experience, too, having played a CIA agent in both Fox’s 24: Live Another Day and the NBC spy drama Chuck.

More important, she already has a signature drink: “A shot of vodka. That might be my Polish heritage talking.”

And should a part call for it, she’s also not afraid to get naked and show off her jaw-dropping, “designed for sprinting” body, as she did in last year’s Manhattan Night. “If it serves the character and ultimately the story, then I see no problem with it,” she says.

But—sorry to say—you’ll have to wait a while for any more earthy reveals. As of April 26, Strahovski’s making her mark in a more serious, less ass-kicky role as Serena Joy, the wife of a dastardly commander (we know he’s dastardly because he’s called “Commander”) played by Joseph Fiennes in Hulu’s original streaming series The Handmaid’s Tale.

Strahovski prepped for the part by reading the book, a dystopian novel by Margaret Atwood, for inspiration but steering clear of the film: “There’s something about watching other versions that can throw me off, keep me from focusing on what a character is ultimately about.”

Next up: a sequel to the 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger classic Predator, about which Strahovski’s been forbidden to say one single word.

Which is fine by us. She’s revealed plenty already.
