Sprewell famously declined the offer, claiming that it was not enough money for him to continue to “feed his family.” Then, he and his agent inexplicably declined every offer over the next year, claiming that they were all well below his talent level. A couple years later Sprewell was out of the league and dead broke. His yacht was seized and sold in a public auction, and he couldn’t make his monthly mortgage payments. Hindsight is 20/20, but wonder what Sprewell is thinking now?
