You’ve got to be a training-hardened sonovabitch to sustain the brutal blows that are part and parcel of playing NFL football. But you can't train your bones to be less breakable and the Colts' Eric Foster is no exception. Indy's defensive tackle took a tumble in the second quarter of the team's October 3 tilt against Tampa Bay when his teammate, defensive end Tyler Brayton, rolled over his right leg as the two went down. The resultant barrel twisted his ankle into a bendy straw, sending him to the hospital and ending his season. To add insult to injury, the Colts lost 24-17.
But Foster isn’t the only NFL player to suffer a cringe-inducing leg snap on the field. Here are other players who know his pain all too well.
