We knew from the get-go that unconventional quarterback Russell Wilson had a lot to bring to the 2013 NFL season. We got to know the congenial QB back in October, when we profiled him for the cover of Men's Fitness. Now, the risen star is leading the Seattle Seahawks to the Super Bowl for the first time in eight years and will be pitted against one of the most feared quarterbacks in the league--Peyton Manning.
Though it took Wilson a while to gain traction against San Francisco's defense during last night's game--he suffered some pretty brutal hits along the way--he came through to deliver a dazzling 35-yard pass to Jermaine Kearse to finally seal the deal.
Wilson was rightfully ecstatic over the win, taking a moment to tweet victoriously.
