What’s hotter than a bunch of sexy models in bikinis battling across the volleyball net in South Beach, Miami? Absolutely nothing. And lucky for you, we’re going to bring you behind-the-scenes coverage of exactly that. Men’s Fitness is psyched to announce that we're an official media partner of the 4th annual Dirty Dutch Model Beach Volleyball Tournament presented by Bimini Bay Resort. Read below to get the inside track on how it'll all go down, and if you're in the 'hood make sure to stop by to gawk and watch a great game. Can't make it? No sweat. We'll be bringing back post-event videos that will get you up close and personal with the beach, the volleyball court, and most importantly the bikini-clad babes.
This two-day event is a bracket style, round robin beach volleyball tournament. The prize for the winning team? A free round trip to Bimini Bay Resort from March 1-3, 2013, and bragging rights on the catwalk until next year's showdown.
Lummus Park which is located between 7th and 8th on Ocean Drive in Miami-Dade in South Beach.
February 9th and 10th, 2013 from 10am-5pm
America’s top modeling agencies (including Next, CGM, and Ford) pulled together co-ed teams that will be coached by professional athletes from the National Volleyball League as the models duke it out on the sand. Pro players can sub in for 5 points per game, but other than that, it’s pure model-on-model action. Look for hotties like Nina Agdal (Sports Illustrated 2012 Swimsuit Rookie of the Year and star of the Carl's Jr. commercial debuting at Super Bowl XLVII) and USA’s best players including Casey Patterson.
Though it’s guaranteed to be a blast, the tournament isn’t just for fun. It's also a way to raise awareness and money for the Irie Foundation, which offers South Florida middle school students a mentorship program that provides educational and extracurricular opportunities, as well as scholarships towards college or trade school tuition. The main goal? To improve Florida’s graduation rate. Started by Miami Heat DJ Irie, the non-profit will have a pop-up lemonade stand on-site both days so event goers can quench their thirst and support a great cause.
The action starts in just 15 days. Until then get a sneak peek of last year's heat right here.
