They finished college ball with stellar stats and were immediately swept away by the pros. Fans with high expectations put these promising stars on their fantasy teams and waited anxiously to see them rock the big leagues. Unfortunately, fans' high hopes for some of these players were never fulfilled. These players are called "busts."
While you have to be careful labeling someone a "bust" (sometimes they're just having a temporary setback), some athletes are just down for the count.
