THE MF OVERHAUL
If it were up to you, you'd never stray from your favorite pair of beat-up jeans and college football T-shirt. But they won't always fly with your girlfriend, or the office dress code. And if you don't have some backup duds, you've got a problem. The solution: Get more options in your closet, without abandoning what feels comfortable.

To help you, we're presenting the second installment in our MF Overhaul series-a sequence of strategies designed to make you as successful in your life outside the gym as you've been inside it. Last February, we transformed one fit couple's basement into the ultimate home gym. This time we've focused on style and grooming. After getting to the bottom of the mountain of readers' letters we received asking for help, we settled on Seth Hill, a 24-year-old student at the University of Washington, Tacoma.

Hill wrote in telling us how he'd recently lost 85 pounds by working out and eating right. He'd been heavy most of his life, hiding behind baggy shirts and jeans, and now that he'd worked out and built the body, he needed some help finding the right clothes to fit it properly. "My weight loss has given me a boost of self-confidence," Hill wrote, "and I think I need a new look to go along with it." After checking out his current wardrobe, we readily agreed, and a few months later, Hill was in our New York office meeting with our style experts.

Those clothes are good in theory, but maybe you should come back down to Earth with us mere mortals and pick clothes and outfits that dont cost more than a month's rent.

I'll clearly pay $400 for a sweatshirt.

In case you couldn't tell i was being sarcastic.

Clothes don't make you always look good, but when you work out correctly, your body makes most clothes look good on you.

i think that putting all these ideas together can create a beter feeling for us men whatever we wear whenever.i also think that when you feel good about yourself, then you look good aswell. i always am embaressed when i walk out of a public place like the pool because of my weight, however people say im not fat but i have man boobs and rolls and im just not pleased with it. but i feel strong enough to put forward my ideas and put them in action so if anybody would like to share with me and also let me give them a few pointers please type back and let me know

Working out is definately critical for changing your look and boosting confidence, but I good sense of style can go a long way. You don't have to be rich to make style work for you. Even though $100 jeans from Banana Republic and $200 belt from Coach projects a certain element on "class" the same looks can be pulled off by shopping at discount stores such as Marshall's, Ross, etc. I think the main objective to having a polished look is how you put the elements together. For example - NEVER were black shoes with a brown belt - super tacky. Is fitted or baggy jeans the correct look for a dinner night with a sexy lady? Accessorize a little bit by purchasing a couple different watch styles. What color look good with your skin color? People pick up on style in various ways and it is really easy to enhance your look and style - just put a little thought into it.
