Hoping to cash in on the MMA craze, BET will debut its original series Iron Ring at 11 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18 ET/PT. The show will feature fighters from around the country who compete using the combined techniques of jiu-jitsu, judo, karate, boxing, kickboxing, and wrestling.

Iron Ring will go up against Spike TV's wildly popular series The Ultimate Fighter, but BET is banking on an added advantage. The network has enlisted big-name celebrities, including Ludacris, Nelly, Floyd Mayweather, T.I., Lil Jon, Juelz Santana and Jim Jones to become team owners.

Each week, competitors will enter the Iron Ring to battle it out on behalf of their celebrity owner. BET says that the owners will actually interact with the fighters in between rounds and that Iron Ring will offer "true-to-life, bone-crushing, face-smashing sports entertainment unlike anything ever seen before."

Series premieres on Tuesday, March 18 at 11 p.m. ET/PT
