Supplement maker Iovate Health Sciences International Inc. announced today that Olympic triple jumper Samyr Laine is the newest ambassador for the company’s EPIQ brand, a new line-up of super clean muscle-building products sold exclusively at GNC.
Why the elite athlete's name might sound familiar: Laine, a member of the Haitian National track and field team, was an Olympic finalist and 11th place finisher in the triple jump at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games. He also holds Haiti’s national record in the event (17.39 meters).
Laine’s no stranger to athletic milestones. He’s got NCAA all-American honors under his belt and was a four-time Ivy League champion at Harvard University. He was also awarded the Northeast Regional Field Athlete of the Year Award in 2006.
What’s next for the triple jumper? Laine is currently training for the 2013 IAAF World Athletics Championships, which will be held in Moscow in August. As he preps for the prestigious event, he’ll be using EPIQ supplements, including EPIQ Isolate, a rapid and sustained-release protein isolate, and EPIQ Power, a pre-training amplifier.
