The nutrient commonly referred to as "vitamin B" is actually a set of eight distinct water-soluble vitamins known as the "vitamin B complex." This complex plays a very important role in regulating the cellular metabolism in our bodies, thus, providing us with the energy needed to perform any type of physical activity.

Often, the different forms of vitamins that make up the vitamin B complex are found in the same foods, so you don't usually have to supplement your diet to compensate for B-vitamin deficiencies. As long as you eat a mixed diet you should be able to meet your needs without too much trouble.

Here is the information you need to know about B vitamins.
