Top mix masters at Moët Hennessy show you how to whip up this easy (and tempting!) cranberry cocktail at the 2013 South Beach Wine and Food Festival.

THE GRAND CRAN

This drink is the man’s answer to a Cosmopolitan — but instead of vodka and triple sec it has orange-infused cognac with bitter cranberry juice and fresh lime to top it off. There is nothing (and we mean nothing) more refreshing on a hot summer day after a round of golf. Is your mouth watering, yet? We’re pleased to say we snagged backstage video demos of a line-up of adult beverages served by Moët Hennessy at the 2013 South Beach Wine and Food Festival. Best yet? They’re all perfect for summer — especially, The Grand Cran.  

From the SOBE Wine and Food Festival, mix master Jordan Bushell, national bartender for Moët Hennessy, shows us how easy it is to mix up this fruity summer cocktail with a bitter twist.  

What you need:

1 1/2 oz Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge

3 oz Cranberry Juice

Squeezed fresh lime

How to make it: Add ingredients in Boston shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously and strain over fresh ice. Garnish with lime wedge. Cocktail should not be built over ice in serving glass — it must be shaken to mix thoroughly.

Bushnell’s Tip: Remember, when you add lime as a garnish, run it around the rim of your glass and squeeze lightly into your drink before you drop it in, to balance out the flavors in this cocktail.
