For most guys, a decade after retirement means taking vacations, sipping tropical drinks, and relaxing on the golf course.
Well, Barry Bonds isn’t most guys.
After spending the 2016 season as the Miami Marlins hitting coach, the San Francisco Giants brought back their longtime slugger to be a special advisor to the CEO. On Sunday, March 26, Bonds decided to pick up a bat and take a few swings in the cage during batting practice.

Bonds was one of the most controversial—and productive—players in MLB history during his career, retiring as the all-time leader in home runs, walks, and intentional walks.
The former Giants star was one of the most physically fit players in the league when he was blasting home runs, and this workout his trainer detailed for Muscle & Fitness is part of the reason he was so successful.
During the season, Bonds would work out Monday through Friday, doing 8-10 sets per workout, but during the offseason he’d boost that to 12-14 sets per workout.
