Mark Ingram is ready to float like a butterfly and sting like a bee for the 2017 NFL season.

The New Orleans Saints running back is coming off the most productive season of his six-year career, and he’s not taking anything for granted.

Ingram has been working out with trainer Tony Villani and his crew at XPE Sports Academy in Florida, where he’s been using boxing to help improve his hand speed and coordination.

Ingram took to social media to show off his progress:

 

 

Ingram had a career-best 1,043 rushing yards in 2016 and was healthy for 16 games for the first time since 2012—and now he wants even more.

Boxing isn't the only thing he's doing, though.

Ingram has also been training at XPE to boost his speed with running drills and some hardcore work on the patented SHREDmill. The custom-designed machine was created by Villani to help build lower-body strength and acceleration for players.
