Training is intensifying for Manny Pacquiao ahead of his May 2nd showdown with Floyd Mayweather, one of the greatest boxers in the history of the sport.
To prep, Pacquiao brought in one-time UFC fighter and current professional boxer Dashon Johnson as a sparring partner, according to The Ring. The 27-year-old super middleweight has been sparring with “Pacman” for the last two weeks at Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood, California, spending up to five rounds per visit with the Filipino southpaw.
Johnson likes what he sees so far out of Pacquiao, and thinks this fight won’t go to a decision.
“Pacquiao’s work ethic isn’t like anything I’ve ever seen. He’s one of the hardest workers I’ve been around,” Johnson told The Ring.
