The UFC has released a tribute video honoring fighter Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson, who passed away on June 6 at the age of 42.
The organization debuted the tribute during the broadcast of UFC Fight Night: MacDonald vs. Thompson on Saturday, highlighting some of Ferguson’s most vicious knockouts through his career. Ferguson started off as a street-fighting star before turning professional, becoming one of the UFC’s most popular figures.
Ferguson jumped around the mixed martial arts world, fighting the UFC as well as EliteXC and Bellator. Ferguson’s most recent fight was in February at Bellator 149 against Dada 5000, but that match was ruled a no contest after Ferguson tested positive for a banned substance in the pre-fight drug test.
Ferguson was set to headline Bellator 158 in London against James Thompson on July 16.
