'The Mountain' From 'Game of Thrones' Just as Strong in Real Life

When he’s not busy terrorizing the fictionalized land of Westeros on HBO’s Game of Thrones, the real-life, human behemoth Hafthor Bjornson – known as “the Mountain” on the show – dominates the European Strongest Man competition.

The 6’9”, 400-pound Bjornson heaved stones of increasing weight onto barrels to win the title of Europe’s Strongest Man earlier this month. After which, he ripped off his shirt and yelled, “I am the future strength, the king of stones!”

That’s a battle cry which no doubt was meant to curdle the blood of future foes in the World's Strongest Man competition and the Seven Kingdoms alike. 

The lesson learned? This man is definitely as strong as the character he plays. For proof, watch his highlights below.
