Ferocious Russian Fedor Emelianenko makes Affliction a heavyweight contender

The former PRIDE Fighting Championships heavyweight titleholder is now Affliction's top dog, having beaten ex-UFC champ and 6'8" behemoth Tim Sylvia back in July's Affliction Banned in just 36 seconds.
"Any promoter who says Fedor isn't the best heavyweight in the world is bitter," says Sherdog news editor Loretta Hunt, "because they don't have him or can't control him."
The Russian has been called a cyborg thanks to his stoic destruction of some of the best opposition out there and near perfect record. In October, Affliction, along with fellow MMA promoter M-1 Global, announced that Emelianenko will be featured in a reality show, Fighting Fedor, sometime in 2009.
