Labor Day has long been known as the final day to enjoy the all the summer has to offer. That may be true with your work schedule (RIP summer Fridays), but it can still get pretty warm well into September, and even October for many of us. There is no reason to assume you need to break out the winter clothes just because some arbitrary rule says so. Keep your easy and comfortable summer style working for you as long as you’d like. Look ahead and get inspired to keep the summer vibes going just a little while longer with these fall/winter '15 runway looks. After all, rules are meant to be broken, right? Here's how to break 'em the right way.
Shorts - Comme Des Garcons Shirt
Shorts are OK in the summer. Why not after Labor Day? It can still get hot. Wear them with a shirt jacket to help transition the look in to fall. (Alexander Wang F/W15)
A chambray shirt is just about as easy as it gets for the summer. No fuss and looks dressed up even when worn out. Keep that care-free attitude going into fall by throwing on a tie and a heavy knit sweater and forget about the impending cold. (Michael Kors F/W15)
