Converse Jack Purcell Signature Sneaker
The first Converse Jack Purcell sneaker was introduced back in 1935. Since then, the sneaker has withstood the test of time, remaining a classic staple in men’s fashion. And now, the beloved classic has received an innovative revival.
Considered the most premium expression of Jack Purcell to date, the new Spring 2015 Converse Jack Purcell Signature is meticulously crafted, staying true to the core attributes of the iconic sneaker while delivering a more versatile essential sneaker with 18 new features and benefits.
The sneaker is now available for purchase at a suggested retail price of $95, at Converse retail stores, Nordstrom and on Converse.com in White, Black, and Mason.
But first, take a look at the new features; after all, the sneaker was made with you in mind.
Inspired by Army specifications, two-ply duck canvas has been incorporated into the sneaker’s winged tongue and eyerow for added strength and durability. The material creates a seamless inner forefoot, adding lasting power to a high friction place. In short, these are built to last.
Classic Design, Modern Take
The two-piece molded foxing construction, streamlined toecap, and lightweight herringbone outsole add comfort as well as a contemporary aesthetic.
Converse teamed up with Nike, imbedding their Nike Zoom Air Technology into an Ortholite footbed to provide better breathability and mobility over long periods of wear; while the open weave forefoot made with soft cotton and leather provides added comfort.
Attention to Detail
Premium detailing, such as durable polished aluminum eyelets and a wider heel stay, displays the craftsmanship in the sneaker’s construction.
Every component of the sneaker gets Converse’s signature treatment. There’s a two-piece Jack Purcell smile in Converse blue, an embroidered tongue, outsole logo, heel logo, and inner signature label, all of which provide the most classic expression of the iconic insignia.
