Men's Fitness Style and Grooming Editor talks to the designer and groomer backstage.

The final event of the Fall/Winter 2016 New York Fashion Week: Men’s docket was the Todd Snyder runway show. Closing out the week is a big deal since everyone wants to be in on the action (last year, it was John Varvatos). Todd, however, seems to be right at home when a million different things are going on all around him. Snyder has ongoing collaborations with Champion, Cole Haan, PF Flyers, and more, and this year he debuted his collaboration with Timex on the runway.

Basically, that means this guy is busy as hell, but it doesn’t mean he loses focus on any of his projects. His collection was well thought out and completely wearable. He made sure to keep it an attainable aesthetic, so as not to polarize any man who is a fan of the brand. Comfortable military-inspired basics from his collaboration with Champion were paired with upgraded Cortland boots from his collaboration with Cole Haan and topped off with a namesake camelhair coat or effortlessly paired with a velvet tuxedo. If that wasn’t enough, the looks are finished with the re-imagined 1970’s Bullseye watch from Timex X Todd Snyder. There is not one type of man who is wearing Todd Snyder, there is something from Todd Snyder for every man.

The hairstyles were easily achieved at the show by Bumble & bumble Stylist Sabrina Michals. The style was easy, but with intent. These guys were gentlemen of the outdoors. Streamlined, but not afraid to veer off the path and get in a little trouble. Michals has worked closely with Snyder for the past seven seasons, so she is able to get what he is saying, even when he isn't even saying it. She achieved the simple styles using a few of the staple Bumble & bumble products including Bb.Prep and Dryspun Finish. Adding a newer product from their offering, Don’t Blow It (a favorite of the grab-and-go guys), she finished off with a little Thickening Creme Contour for texture.
