According to the Centers for Disease Control a new case of prostate cancer is diagnosed every 2.1 minutes. With that fact in mind, ASICS has partnered with the Prostate Cancer Foundation to launch a special collection to support the cause. Additionally, Asics America has promised a minimum donation of $25,000 from these special products, which are available at retail stores nationwide.
Besides skin cancer, prostate cancer is the most common cancer in American men and about 1 man in 6 will be diagnosed with it in his lifetime. Utilizing unique strategies for identifying and investing in the most innovative and results-driven research programs, the Prostate Cancer Foundation has generated life-saving results in the fight against prostate cancer. In the past three years, research supported by the Foundation has helped deliver five new drugs for patients in advanced stages of the disease. ?
The ASICS Prostate Cancer Foundation Collection includes the new ASICS GT -2000™ 2 BR running sneaker. The second generation of the GT-2000™ is lighter and designed for improved comfort, with the new FluidRide™ midsole and full-length SpEVA® 55 incorporated to optimize your running experience.
Also included in the collection is the Asics Blue Ribbon Nimbus Classic Low sock that allows you to wear your support on your feet. The socks offer high-density cushioning and feature a blue ribbon signifying ASICS’ support of prostate cancer awareness and research.
So lace’em up and start running toward a cure for cancer.
