Arnold Schwarzenegger Publishes a Tell-All Autobiography [VIDEO]
Arnold discusses his greatest triumphs—and most intense struggles—in this no-holds-barred new hardcover.
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s life story is one of the most inspiring ones ever told. After the completion of his second term as Governor of California, and the collapse of his 25-year marriage, Arnold decided to tell the official, unvarnished version in his new book, Total Recall, which was released by Simon & Schuster on October 1.
To celebrate the event, Men’s Fitness and Shape co-hosted a party at The Four Seasons Hotel in New York City. Special guests included sex expert Dr. Ruth Westheimer and actor Frank Vincent (best known for his roles in Goodfellas and The Sopranos).
David J. Pecker, CEO of AMI (parent company to MF and Shape), introduced Arnold, naming him the “premier fitness icon”. Arnold then stepped to the podium and described his book as a journey through his life and a triumph over naysayers. “I was able to accomplish my goals and much more,” he told Shape editor-in-chief Tara Kraft in an interview afterward. “The book is about my successes but also my failures. Professionally, and in my personal life.”
