Step-by-step instructions

1. Stand up straight in front of a barbell, feet shoulder-width apart and with your arms behind you. While keeping your head and back straight, squat down and grip the barbell.
2. Squeezing your thighs and pressing your heels through the ground, straighten your legs and stand up while holding the barbell. That's one rep.
