Heart disease is the number 1 killer of Americans in the U.S. today—with someone dying from the condition every 38 seconds. Study after study shows that physical activities like walking can decrease your risk for heart disease. Walking in the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk could help you to save thousands of other lives as well. This year, more than a million people in 300+ cities across the U.S. are stepping up to raise awareness and help in the fight.
