After you've finished the lowest marathon on earth, why not tackle the highest? Recognized by Guinness as the "highest marathon in the world", the Everest Marathon takes you through the Everest National Park and Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa capital town, plus past the Buddhist monasteries of Pangboche (one of the oldest in the area) and Thyangboche (the biggest one in the whole Himalayas). While it is one of the most adventurous races, don't worry, it doesn't take you to the top of Everest. Afterwards, if you have any energy left you can climb at your own risk.
