The most common injuries athletes of all levels suffer are quad injuries—probably because athletes of all levels forget to stretch their quads. Sure, they do that thing where they bend one leg and grab their foot behind them and awkwardly hop about trying not to fall over, but they don’t stretch their quads.

Get serious about your quads with this three-part progressive stretch. Pay the same amount of attention to them as you do your hamstrings or they’ll get hurt (and we’re not talking feelings here). Tight quads and loose hamstrings make an imbalance that will probably be balanced out by an injury. Tight quads also lead to back pain and knee issues. They’re no fun.
