When Oliver returns home, he secretly assumes the persona to take on the enemies of society, and restore his city to its former glory.
The series, which stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, is based on a DC Comics character who was introduced at Comic Con in 2012. In October 2012, DC Comics launched a weekly ongoing comic that's connected with the TV series.
