T.J. Olwig

T.J. Olwig is a freelance writer based in St. Louis, MO. As a travel, golf, and outdoor specialist, he's spied tigers in India for Travel + Leisure, played golf Down Under in advance of the Presidents Cup for Private Clubs, swam with humpback whales in French Polynesia for Virtuoso, written about Ozark foods for BBC Travel, and chased hummingbirds across Ecuador for Hemispheres. Other bylines include AARP, Atlas Obscura, and Islands. T.J. enjoys hiking, golfing, birdwatching, and road-tripping. His favorite adventure to date: 'Fetch in 50,' he and his dog Gus's feat of visiting every U.S. state, which concluded in 2016 after a months-long journey to Alaska.
