What do you get for the guy who already outfitted their home gym or refreshed their gym bag on Black Friday? Something for their day off.

As a longtime health and fitness editor for men, I have more than a decade of experience researching and testing the best gear for guys. And while I’ll very gladly point you to the great all-around running shoes, or a life-changing fitness tracker—not to mention our expert-curated gift guide for gym lovers—I’m also here to offer gift ideas for our fellow fitness enthusiasts that already get themselves all the workout gear they need.

1. The Balvenie DoubleWood 12 Year Scotch

The Balvenie DoubleWood 12 Year Scotch

Last year a good friend gave me a bottle of the Balvenie DoubleWood 12 for my birthday. It became an instant hit on my liquor shelf and also my new go-to gift. I haven’t come across a single enthusiast of finer spirits that doesn’t appreciate and enjoy this smooth, yet interesting single-malt Scotch. DoubleWood is aged 12 years, spending most of its life in ex-bourbon barrels that impart a spicy vanilla. Then it’s further matured in sherry casks to inject dark fruits. At 43 percent ABV, it’s an easy sipper to enjoy after a long day with or without ice.

2. Seiko 5 Sports Automatic Watch

If you want a watch that looks sharper than a fitness tracker, the Seiko 5 Sports should be the first timepiece you consider. It brings an automatic movement—standard for high-end luxury watches—a day/date calendar, and impressive durability at a great value. The timeless style can go formal or add flair on a more casual day. And the 42.5mm case size looks good on all but the beefiest wrists.

3. Yeti V Series 55 Cooler

This stainless steel cooler is a showstopper at BBQs, bonfires, and tailgate parties. But the vacuum-sealed insulation performs like few coolers I’ve tested. Pack the Yeti V Series with ice and your beverages and/or food will stay cold for days. This past summer, I left mine on my back patio between weekend BBQs. I only had to add the occasional ice from my freezer to keep my beer and seltzer cold over the work week.

4. Kane Revive Recovery Shoes

These simple, comfortable shoes are ideal for kicking back post workout, or lounging on a sunny day off. Made from EVA foam, the stuff that gives running shoes their bounce, the Kane Revive is firm enough to feel stable but soft enough to soothe when it’s time to recover. The closed-foam construction means you can clean them with a rinse in the sink, and they double as water shoes.

5. Vuori Pronto Performance Crew

You could certainly take this sweatshirt for a jog, but I recommend taking it to the couch to nap or to catch up on Yellowstone. The Vuori Pronto crew (plus the jogger) were my favorite gift I received last year. And after nearly 12 months of good use, they still look and feel new. It has an athletic fit that's relaxed enough for proper lounging but won't bunch up above the waist like too-wide sweaters.

6. Duer Tech Fleece Denim Relaxed Taper

Duer Tech Fleece Denim Relaxed Taper

For all our fellow gym goers that never skip leg day, know that these jeans will never bind or feel too tight around the thigh. Duer denim hits the sweet spot of allowing ample motion—and quad mass—without sagging after a few washes. For a winter treat, get a pair of Duer's Tech Fleece lined jeans. The insulation provides a noticeable difference on chilly days and makes the pants feel more like your favorite sweats than denim.
