If you still think of Jonah Hill as the kid from his breakout roles in Superbad and Knocked Up—in which there are plenty of jokes about his weight—you might in for a surprise.
After gaining over 40 pounds for his role in the 2016 film War Dogs, Hill is once again looking impressively svelte and lean, just as he did while starring in 22 Jump Street in 2014.
Take a look at these pics for the sake of comparison. The left photo was taken November 14, 2014; the photo at right is from March 11, 2017.
Looks like working with Channing Tatum had a good influence.
Following his well-received turn in War Dogs, Hill has a busy slate coming up.
Apart from making his directing debut with the film Mid '90s starring Michelle Williams and Lucas Hedges, he has roles in The Ballad of Richard Jewell (potentially alongside Wolf of Wall Street pal Leonardo Dicaprio), the biopic Don't Worry, He Won't Get Far on Foot, a potential 21 Jump Street/Men in Black crossover, and a foray into TV alongside Superbad co-star Emma Stone in Maniac.
While there’s no official word on whether Hill will need to change his weight again for any of those characters, he’s proven he can handle a body transformation. And for now, it looks like the athletic Jonah Hill is here to stay.
