Being a professional bull rider means you have to be a fit, strong, and wildly versatile athlete to stay on your bull as they it tries to throw you off. So it’s no wonder that PBR star and world champion bull rider Bonner Bolton can tear up the dance floor.
Bolton and his dance partner Sharna Burgess kicked off the season premiere of Dancing with the Stars by bringing the rodeo to Hollywood.
The two pulled off a fantastic routine by dancing to "Move" by Luke Bryan on a set that looked like the interior of a bull riding competition:
Bolton is one of the best athletes in the PBR and is by far one of the toughest athletes on earth: In January 2016, Bonner suffered a near-fatal injury after falling on his head and injuring his neck in a competition, but that didn't stop him from getting back on the bull:
Thankful for my brothers don't know what I would do without them going I for surgery tmrw 🙏🏼 #blessedforever @dwd87 with @repostapp. @teampbr ・・・ Best thing about this sport is the brotherhood that is built! Took a tough one but still able to walk and back on the road to recovery. One tough cat with the best attitude @bonner_blue @tannerbyrne
Despite suffering a broken C-2 vertebrae, Bolton pushed his way through a grueling rehab and eventually made it back on tour.
Now he’s dancing his way into America’s hearts on one of the most popular shows on television.
