1 lean sirloin steak, no more than 1/2-inch thick, cut into 4 equal portions
1/2 cup prepared garlic-flavored steak sauce
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 tbsp canola oil
1 8 oz) package shredded carrots
1/3 cup drained pickled ginger, sliced

To make: [1] Heat a grill pan until very hot. [2] Brush the steak with about 2 tbsp of the steak sauce, or just enough to coat. [3] Season with salt and pepper. Grill for 21/2 minutes per side for medium, or until cooked to the desired doneness. [4] While the steak cooks, heat the oil in a large saute pan until very hot. Add the carrots, stirring constantly for 2 to 3 minutes, or until tender. [5] Add the pickled ginger and the remaining steak sauce and stir. Season with salt and pepper to taste. [6] Cut the steak in slices against the grain. Make a bed of the carrot-ginger mixture on each plate. Arrange the steak on top. [7] Serve with cooked couscous and steamed cauliflower.
