“The Lochtenator” has established himself as a dominant force in the Olympics over the past two Summer Games, winning five gold medals to give him 11 total heading into Rio. Lochte’s good looks have made him a hit with the ladies, but he also has had great success in the pool over the years, setting world records in the 100-meter individual medley, 200-meter individual medley, and the 400-meter individual medley.
Lochte’s training makes him like an amphibian, gliding at precise speeds and giving him a laser-like focus. Heading into the Olympics, Lochte used boxing training to give himself a good way to relieve stress: “It allows me to take out my aggression and it allows me to hit things, something I can’t do when swimming,” he says.
