At Bellator 158 in London on Saturday, MMA fighter Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos suffered a traumatic fracture to the skull. The fracture occurred in the second round of the bout and was caused by a flying knee to the skull from his opponent, Michael Page. After the knee, Santos crumpled to the ground, holding his head in clear pain. "Big John" McCarthy, who refereed the fight, said that the impact “sounded like a baseball being hit out of the park.”
Santos' ex-wife, Cris Justino, posted a picture of the fractured skull on Instagram:

Check out how the injury occurred:
Joe Rogan, who has called thousand of fights with the UFC, called this "the worst MMA injury I've ever seen." Page later sent a tweet wishing Santos the best.
I would like to express my best wishes to @CYBORG121 & his family, as he is currently being held in hospital for a fractured skull

After the fight, Page actually made a reference to the very popular app Pokémon Go by rolling a pokeball towards Santos at the end of the match.
When asked about the injury, Santos told MMA Fighting: “I’ll be back soon.”
